SCC will cover the cost of a FHC physical exam for conference attendees. If you can afford to pay for these services, we ask that you make a donation during the registration process to extend help to others. Additional services and labs are available. As a nonprofit organization devoted to reproductive justice, FHC’s Trans Health Initiative offers a sliding scale discount (25 - 50% off of the regular price) to those with financial hardship. Some service fees may be waived. FHC accepts MasterCard, Visa, and Discover, but not personal checks. If you are interested in additional services, please discuss this with the THI Coordinator when registering.

History
The Robert Eads Health Partnership was formed in memory of Robert Eads, a transman who suffered under the transphobic and discriminatory health care system in Georgia. In 1999, Robert Eads died of ovarian cancer after being refused treatment by dozens of doctors in and around the Atlanta area. The Southern Comfort Conference is proud to sponsor the Robert Eads Health Fair, offering lower exams for transmen and trans-masculine individuals at no cost. This fair is hosted by Feminist Health Center, a non-profit organization that provides health services in a safe, trans-affirmative environment. FHC’s protocols are designed to reduce barriers to health care for transgender individuals without compromising the quality of services they provide to all clients.More at: THI - http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/event.php?eid=121062664650286
